To help certified M/WBEs grow their businesses and compete for and successfully perform on City contracting opportunities, SBS offers several programs and services.  The M/WBE Client Services team will assess businesses in order to determine the most helpful resources to utilize and provide M/WBEs with a customized resource guide.  M/WBEs that visit this room at the Procurement Fair will be able to:

  • learn about all the programs and services available to you
  • update your M/WBE online Directory company profile
  • update your NIGP Commodity Codes in PIP
  • get tips & tricks from one of our successful M/WBEs
  • have Google help you set up an online digital profile (requires that firm bring proof of business' address/physical location - utility bill, tax letter, business certificate or similar) and learn about Google’s NYC Digital Coach Program
  • get a FREE digital head shot when you complete a mini business assessment form (come prepared to have your photo taken)

Why should I attend this fair?

City of New York certified Minority- and/or Woman-owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) are invited to attend this fair to meet with procurement representatives from City, State and Federal agencies, as well as private corporations.

Why would I want to meet with City agency procurement representatives?

This is a prime opportunity for City of New York certified M/WBEs interested in selling to NYC to begin building relationships with the agencies that buy the goods and/or services your business offers.

How do I register for the fair?

Registration instructions are provided by email invitation only to City of New York certified M/WBEs.

Do I need ID to enter the fair?

Yes, you must present a valid (non-expired) State, City Residential or Government-issued photo ID to the security officer. Otherwise, access will not be granted under any circumstances.

What is not acceptable ID: metro cards, credit cards, insurance cards, Library cards or employment ID.

Is there anything I should bring to the fair?

Yes, along with your valid, government-issued ID, you should bring the following:

  • Capability statements

  • Business cards

  • Your winning personality

What time should I arrive to the fair?

We suggest arriving as early as possible to take advantage of everything the fair has to offer. Check-in begins at 8:00AM.

Will there be food at the fair?

Continental breakfast and mid-day snacks will be provided on a first come, first served basis until gone.

Which NYC government agencies will be at the fair?

Check the Exhibitors page on this website periodically for an updated list of participating agencies and other exhibitors.

Will there be WiFi at the fair?

No, there is no available WiFi, but cell service is available.

Are children allowed at the fair?

No. No one under the age of 18 will be allowed into the building.

Is there parking in the area?

There are a number of parking garages in the area. There is no validation provided. Any costs incurred are your responsibility.

Will I be photographed, filmed and/or recorded?
